Riichaa Vallecha

For Richa Valecha, success has never been measured by awards, titles, or the number of students she has trained. Instead, it is measured in moments.

One such moment came when a former student sent her a simple message after receiving a New Zealand visa: “Ma’am, mera sapna poora ho gaya.” The student had spent more than five years trying to move abroad but couldn’t clear the required English proficiency exam. After months of dedicated coaching and guidance from Richa, she finally achieved the score she needed—and with it, the opportunity she had been waiting for.

For many, it might have been just another success story. For Richa, it was a reminder of why she chose this profession in the first place. Helping someone build a better future has always meant more to her than simply helping them pass an exam.

Today, as the founder of RV IELTS, Richa has trained more than 5,000 students, helping them pursue international education and career opportunities across countries like Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, Dubai, and several other English-speaking destinations. Her journey, however, didn’t begin with a business plan or the ambition to become an entrepreneur. It began with a love for teaching at the age of eighteen and a belief that education has the power to change lives.

That belief would later carry her through one of the most challenging phases of her career, eventually turning an unexpected setback into the foundation of a thriving business.

Discovering a Passion for Teaching

Long before she became known as an IELTS and communication coach, Richa was simply a young student who enjoyed helping others learn.

At the age of eighteen, shortly after completing her 12th grade, she began taking tuition classes. Initially, it was a way to stay productive while continuing her education. But the more she taught, the more she realized that teaching wasn’t just something she was good at—it was something she genuinely loved.

Watching students understand a difficult concept, gain confidence, and improve academically gave her a sense of satisfaction that few other careers could offer.

While continuing to teach, she pursued her higher education and earned a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com), followed by a Master of Commerce (M.Com) and a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.). These qualifications strengthened her understanding of education, but she believes her greatest lessons came from interacting with students every day.

Every learner was different. Every classroom was different. And every challenge taught her something new.

Building Experience Before Entrepreneurship

As her experience grew, Richa joined a reputed institute as a Senior IELTS Trainer.

It was during these years that she gained a deeper understanding of the aspirations of students preparing for English proficiency exams. Behind every IELTS or PTE score was a dream—someone hoping to study abroad, reunite with family, build an international career, or create a better future.

She quickly realized that her responsibility extended beyond teaching grammar and vocabulary.

Students needed confidence.

They needed motivation.

Most importantly, they needed someone who genuinely believed they could succeed.

That approach became the foundation of her teaching philosophy and continues to define her work today.

The Pandemic That Changed Her Life

Like millions of professionals around the world, Richa’s career came to an unexpected halt during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The institute where she worked could no longer continue as before, and she suddenly found herself without a job.

It was a difficult phase.

There was uncertainty everywhere, and the future seemed unpredictable. Yet instead of allowing circumstances to decide her next chapter, Richa made a decision that would change her life.

In 2020, she started RV IELTS.

She didn’t have a large office or a big team.

What she did have was years of teaching experience, a strong work ethic, and complete faith in her abilities.

Looking back today, she often describes that setback as one of the greatest blessings of her life because it pushed her to create something of her own.

Learning to Teach in a New World

Starting a business was only the first challenge.

The next was learning how to teach online.

Until then, most of her experience had been inside classrooms. Virtual learning was completely new.

Instead of feeling intimidated, Richa became a student again.

She spent hours watching YouTube tutorials, learning different online teaching platforms, exploring digital tools, and experimenting with every feature that could make her classes more interactive.

There were days when technology didn’t cooperate.

There were classes where she learned through trial and error.

But she never stopped improving.

That willingness to keep learning eventually helped her create engaging online classrooms where students felt connected, motivated, and confident despite the distance.

It also reinforced a belief that continues to guide her life:

The willingness to learn is one of the greatest skills any professional can possess.

The Journey of RV IELTS

The name RV IELTS wasn’t the result of an elaborate branding exercise.

It simply came from Richa’s initials.

What started as a one-person coaching venture has steadily grown into a trusted platform for students preparing for international opportunities.

Today, RV IELTS offers coaching for IELTS, PTE, CELPIP, Business Communication, and Public Speaking. Over the years, Richa has expanded her vision beyond exam preparation by building strategic partnerships with trusted immigration and international education firms. Through these collaborations, she assists students and professionals with student visas, visitor visas, work visas, and international job support, ensuring they receive reliable guidance throughout every stage of their journey abroad.

Rather than focusing solely on helping students achieve their target scores, Richa believes in providing end-to-end support. From choosing the right English proficiency test and preparing for interviews to connecting students with trusted partners for visa processing and overseas career opportunities, her goal is to simplify what can often feel like an overwhelming process.

For Richa, success isn’t measured by the number of students who clear an exam—it’s measured by the number of lives transformed through the opportunities that follow.

Success Is Measured by Student Stories

Numbers certainly tell part of the story.

Training more than 5,000 students is an achievement in itself.

Maintaining an excellent track record of successful student outcomes is equally rewarding.

But for Richa, success has always been personal.

She remembers students who doubted themselves before taking their first mock test.

She remembers working professionals trying to build better futures for their families.

She remembers individuals who had almost given up after multiple unsuccessful attempts.

Every success carries its own story.

The New Zealand student’s message remains especially close to her heart because it represented years of perseverance finally paying off.

Moments like those remind her that she isn’t simply preparing students for an examination.

She is helping them unlock opportunities that can transform their lives.

Recognition That Followed Consistency

Hard work has a way of speaking for itself.

Over the years, Richa has been recognised with several honours, including:

  • Best Trainer Award by UrbanPro.
  • Top Creator in IELTS Training by Linkfluence.
  • Most Outstanding IELTS & PTE Trainer by IAF.

She has also been invited as a speaker at Josh Talks, where she shared her entrepreneurial journey and encouraged others to believe in themselves, especially during difficult times.

In addition to Josh Talks, she has spoken at educational events and seminars, continuing to inspire students and aspiring professionals through her experiences.

While she deeply appreciates these recognitions, she believes they are the result of consistency rather than the goal itself.

Balancing Business and Family

Behind every entrepreneur is a personal story that often goes unnoticed.

For Richa, life is a balance between building a growing business and being present for her family.

As a wife and mother to a two-year-old, she has learned the importance of managing responsibilities with patience and purpose.

Motherhood has made her even more empathetic toward students and working professionals trying to balance multiple priorities in life.

Whenever she finds time away from work, she enjoys travelling, especially to mountain destinations and spiritual places.

These journeys allow her to recharge, reflect, and return with fresh energy for the work she loves.

Breaking the Biggest IELTS Myth

One misconception Richa hears almost every day is that students need an exceptionally advanced vocabulary to clear IELTS or PTE.

She politely disagrees.

According to her, these exams are not designed to test how many difficult words a person knows.

They are designed to evaluate communication.

She encourages her students to focus on clarity, confidence, grammar, pronunciation, and natural expression rather than memorising complicated vocabulary that they may never use.

This practical approach has helped thousands of learners achieve their desired scores while becoming better communicators in everyday life.

Inspired by Values, Driven by Purpose

Among all the people who have influenced her life, Richa credits her grandfather as her greatest inspiration.

His dedication, resilience, and disciplined approach toward life taught her that success is rarely built overnight.

It is earned through consistency, honesty, and continuous effort.

Those values continue to shape every decision she makes, both as an entrepreneur and as an educator.

Looking Ahead

Although she is proud of everything she has achieved so far, Richa believes her journey is only beginning.

Her vision is to help many more students fulfil their aspirations of studying, working, and eventually settling abroad.

She wants RV IELTS to become more than just a coaching institute.

She wants it to be a trusted companion for every student taking the first step toward an international future.

As opportunities continue to grow across the world, she hopes to make quality guidance accessible to students regardless of where they come from.

A Journey Defined by Perseverance

Every successful journey has moments of uncertainty.

Richa’s came in the form of losing a job during one of the most challenging periods the world has experienced.

Instead of letting that chapter define her, she chose to write a new one.

She built a business.

She learned new skills.

She adapted to changing times.

Most importantly, she continued doing what she loved—teaching.

Today, thousands of students across the world carry a small part of her guidance with them as they pursue higher education, build international careers, and create better futures for themselves and their families.

If there’s one message Richa hopes people take away from her journey, it’s the same advice she gives her students every day:

“Just keep going. Everyone has their own time. When your time comes, you’ll achieve everything you’ve dreamed of. Until then, don’t give up. Keep learning, keep improving, and trust the journey.”

Her story is a reminder that setbacks don’t have the final say.

Sometimes, they are simply the beginning of something far greater.
