Kamna Bhardwaj

“You have to dream before your dreams can come true.” — A.P.J. Abdul Kalam

Kamna Bhardwaj is a 21-year-old personal branding strategist, content creator, storyteller, and ghostwriter, currently in her fourth year of a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education at Miranda House, Delhi University.

Over the last two years, she has built a community of 17,000+ on LinkedIn and 1,000+ on Instagram, worked with 20+ founders, coaches, and creators, generated 1M+ organic impressions, and closed 30+ brand deals across LinkedIn and Instagram.

But credentials are not where her story starts. It starts with a girl who had very big dreams, who always wanted to build something of her own, and who believed that she had something worth sharing. She still does.

EARLY LIFE & BACKGROUND

Kamna grew up in Delhi, did her schooling there, and is currently in her fourth year at Miranda House, Delhi University, pursuing a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education. Two things defined her early years: a love for stories in every form, and a restless urge to create.

She read everything: fiction, non-fiction, manga. She watched anime, K-dramas, and Hollywood films, not just for entertainment but to understand how stories worked and what made them stay with you. She wrote her own stories on Wattpad long before she had any audience or intention beyond the writing itself.

When she started college and discovered LinkedIn, something clicked. In her first year, she began documenting small moments of daily life: what she noticed, what she felt, what she was figuring out. It was honest and unpolished, and people connected with it. That habit of documenting the ordinary became the foundation of everything she would later build.

In school, she would watch videos about how to make money online, not out of greed but out of a quiet determination to build something of her own and to not feel like a burden to her family. That urgency never left her. It just found better channels.

She chose a teaching course because sharing is not a professional strategy for her. It is a core belief. If a life is not perfect, sharing what you have learned from it can make someone else’s path easier. That

principle has guided everything.

CAREER JOURNEY

Kamna’s career didn’t begin with a plan. It began with those daily LinkedIn posts: travel, college, ordinary moments, written honestly with no goal beyond getting the thought out. People connected simply because it felt real. That was the first lesson.

The path that followed was unglamorous. An internship at a travel company that turned out to be a scam. Smaller freelance writing gigs. Then a role at a personal branding agency called First Impression, where she became a LinkedIn personal branding strategist. Six months in, she stepped out on her own and began signing clients independently.

It was during this period that her father’s words became the frame for everything: “Paisa toh sab kamate hai, tum naam kamana.” Everyone earns money. You earn a name. That line became the filter for every professional decision she made from that point forward.

From there came the moments that tested and shaped her. Her first independent freelancing project became a full-time offer, not because of her portfolio, but because she went all in with no guarantee of anything more. A LinkedIn post about Zomato’s billboards, written casually, brought three job offers in return. A workshop she had prepared nine hours for fell apart in the first ten minutes when her electricity cut, and she finished it anyway on a shaky hotspot, answering live questions from memory. None of it was the plan. All of it built the person.

CURRENT WORK & EXPERTISE

Today Kamna works as a personal branding strategist, ghostwriter, and storyteller, helping founders, coaches, and creators build a presence that sounds like them, not a templated version of someone else. She has worked with 20+ clients, generated 1M+ organic impressions, and closed 30+ brand deals across LinkedIn and Instagram. She also runs 1-on-1 mentorship and creates resources to help creators understand the patterns behind what actually works.

ACHIEVEMENTS & RECOGNITION

She has collaborated with brands including OPPO, MARS, and Minimalist. She spoke on stage at DoraDAO’s GWY Conference alongside Nishita Setia and Tanishi Mookerjee. Her mentorship holds a 5/5 rating across 28 verified reviews on Topmate, earning People’s Choice and Top 5% recognition. Her free resource, Decoded: 100 Top LinkedIn Creators’ Headlines & About Sections, is used by 1,000+ creators. She also worked as a production assistant on Sejal Kumar’s Jee Le Zindagi shoot in Jaipur.

PHILOSOPHY & INSIGHTS

Kamna doesn’t study creators to copy their tone. She studies their structure: why a hook holds, why a sentence lands, what sits underneath the thing that looks effortless. She fills notebooks with these observations because she genuinely loves the craft.

Her conviction is simple: your portfolio proves you can execute, your resume proves you have experience, but your content proves you have a perspective. Perspective is what gets you in the room. And above all, earn the name. The money follows.

IMPACT & CONTRIBUTION

Kamna helps people build a presence that actually connects rather than one that performs connection. Beyond client work, she runs mentorship sessions and shares what she is learning publicly so the people behind her on the path don’t have to figure it all out alone.

PERSONAL SIDE

Kamna would rather be seen as a storyteller than an influencer. She is not building a brand around having it figured out. She is simply sharing what she is learning as she learns it, letting people watch the process instead of just the highlights.

She overthinks. She rewrites more than she would like to admit. Her notebooks, full of reverse-engineered hooks and half-finished observations from films and creators she admires, say more about how she thinks than any stat could. She is also, genuinely, going to be a teacher one day. That has always been part of the plan.

FUTURE VISION

Kamna is focused on growing her personal branding and content business: more clients, deeper work, and a wider reach for the frameworks she has built. She also wants to build something creative of her own, sitting at the intersection of storytelling, education, and everything she has been quietly studying

for years. Teaching is not separate from that vision. It has always been the same mission: take something complicated and make it make sense to someone else.

GOLDEN ADVICE FOR SOMEONE STARTING FROM SCRATCH

Go all in or don’t go at all. Half-effort shows, and it costs more than starting over. Don’t wait to feel ready; you become ready after you start, not before. Share the thinking, not just the results. Your content shows people how your mind works, and that is what gets you hired, trusted, and remembered. And above everything: chase the name. Build something people remember you for. The money will follow.

CLOSING STATEMENT

Kamna Bhardwaj started with big dreams, a notebook full of stories, and a father’s line she has never forgotten. She is still in the middle of building everything she imagined, still learning in public, still sharing every shortcut her trial and error has earned her. And through all of it, she continues to prove that the dreams you carry in school, the ones that feel too big, too early, too much, are almost always exactly the right size.
